dude... i LIVE in belgium. don't tell me about it :D if i speak 'flemish' there's NO way anyone from limburg understands me. what a stupid argument. There's a hoboken in belgium and a hoboken in the USA. do you think they could understand eachother?

As long as a Flemish newspresenter can with the Dutch prize for eloquence and elocution, I would say the two versions are not that different. ;) There are a Brabant province and a Limburg province on both sides of the border.

actually im flemish and we have some dialects that are very distant from dutch. Also if you compare the language in the netherlands to the 'dutchspeaking' belgians its sort of american english versus UK-english.
