True, it is being used to take money, but as a part of the climate bill the money goes to fund green energy projects like subsidizing solar, wind, hydroelectric power, etc. So the money is going right back into the community and infrastructure. the point is to make fossil fuel energy more expensive and green energy less expensive so doing the right thing isn't hard for people.

@RCLibra Taxing based on fair trade and real currency backings, and right trade of work/efforts is good, and only as long as the tax money goes to the community, infrastructure.But this new "carbon tax" that is absurdly based on nonscience is being used to simply take money....and just take it. What on earth is that going to do for us? Once climate bills get passed, the news will simply start reporting the REAL temp graphs, and we'll all be tricked into thinking what were paying is worth it.
