haha this actually applies to my own life. In my supermarket there are about 15 different types of Colgate toothpaste, regular whitening, extra whitening, total, total whitening, total extra care, mixed with blue Scope, mixed with green Scope, mixed with "fresh crystals", etc. I just thought that all this choice was so stupid that I decided I'm going to boycott Colgate and go with another brand that had fewer choices. Just make one thing and make it work and I'm happy.

Until laws and marked legitimize marked corporatism, like today. Microsoft, apple, IFPI, IKEA. They can all do pretty much as they want, raise prices, buy small businesses and get political and media support by supporting political parties, and supporting media. It's totalitarian. Although pieceful. But shhhh.. ;)

@ParrhesiaJoe He doesn't understand the concept. You can reverse it and talk about it in relation to customer loyalty and why people bought Ford when there were better options from all other companies for cheaper in any category.

@selfrealizedexile You can by understanding. For individualists, this does not matter because all you think about is self. This is not focused on self but society problems. He says it in the beginning.

I wish he would have chosen a better shirt.

Personally, I think he's a bit of a pussy upset over some choice of stupid fucking jeans or whatever else. I tend to go in places see my size and get it, If they do what pants do and covers my ass thats all the thought they needed, the same with all this other material bullshit. The rest is status not what it means to us but someone else, and what it means to someone else makes it important to us. What a load of dumb shit that is, does it fullfill the function? If so, Thats all I need.

It's ok man, not like there is really shit any one can do about anything, because not many people can ever agree on shit anyways. I think The dude in the Vid. Made some interesting reasons for his points.

Not to mention the businesses writing it off as losses, so where does the money for the losses get paid from? Thats right out of taxes/inflated prices. If you want to look at it like it's as a neatly wrapped lil package as that. then nah they arent connected have nothing to do with economics, yeah man I see NO connection between them at all...If minor loss from shop lifting raises prices but waste cant, then you need to think long and hard about what youre spouting off as reliable facts.

Abundance does lead to waste...I dont care how many Experts you want to cite. Does every gallon of milk or every block of cheese get eaten from your local grocier? What about all the other foods with expiration? Where does it all go? The f'n dumpster out back. Hello that is the definition of waste! So take a wild guess how much food the US tosses daily. Nah thats not waste at all why? Because we have it to spare. FFS
