As they are vegetarians and not vegans and they don't eat plants coming out of the ground. So I presume they eat fruit and vegetables who are not in the ground like tomatoes and stuff like that. I know they eat cheese and milk but they don't mix it with some other foods and don't eat it on certain days.

There is no B12 in fruit. B12 is a bacteria found in meat-products,fish and bugs. Humans cannot absorb vegetal B12 and that is why vegans use a man made B12 vitamin in there supplements called "cynaocobalamin".Consult a doctor and don't believe people like him.

Our findings did come as something of a surprise. At the simplest level if meat causes colorectal cancer you would expect to see lower rates in thevegetarians, and we didn't," says Professor Tim Key, the epidemiologistwho led the Oxford study.

A western version of Jainism, this is a joke.Jainism is based on the respect of ALL lifeforms something most vegans don't do as they see plants just as food with no rights at all.Jainism also defends to take vegetables out of the earth as you hurt them. This is just an attempt to justify veganism in a religious way.

@ThaddeusCornA favorite quote of mine is:"Vegetarian diets are often associatedwith a number of health advantages, including lower blood cholesterol levels, lower risk of heart disease, lower bloodpressure levels, and lower risk of hypertensionand type 2 diabetes. Vegetarianstend to have a lower body massindex (BMI) and lower overall cancerrates."This includes veganism but is not exclusive to it admittedly. Still it claims many possible health benefits of a meat free diet.

@leafyutubeSorry for such a delay. My bad.The definition of "it can be" is pretty straight forward. A well planned vegan diet can be and is healthy, a poorly planned diet can be detramental. I'm not sure what your problem with the phrasing is.I found one paper published by the ADA that has 204 sited sources.Link: eatright (dot) org (slash) About (slash) Content (dot) aspx?id=8357&terms=vegan (plus) heart
